The mission of the Richmond Public Schools' Preschool Initiative is to provide a quality, comprehensive child development program for preschool children and families in need.

The program will:

• provide developmentally appropriate activities for children
• motivate parents to strengthen their family units through self-sufficiency
• empower parents and children to be concerned stake-holders in the program and the community
• increase community awareness of the program and services offered
